Havana and Gardens of the Queen National Park
Arrive in Havana Thursday, May 03, approximately 2pm and transfer to the elegant 5 star Iberostar Parque Central Hotel, in the heart of Havana. Known for its Spanish Colonial style architecture, which pulls in the rich culture of the streets. The restaurant has some of the best international cuisine in Havana, but above all, the most impressive Cuban fare.
Friday will be spent meeting with Cuban scientists and marine experts about ocean conservation and cultural exchanges. World renowned expert, Dr Julio Baisre will lead interactive exchanges. We will also visit the Fortress of El Morro and Habana Vieja with lunch and dinner at a local Cuban restaurant.
Saturday morning, after a breakfast buffet, we will travel to Jucaro to board the Jardines Agressor II liveaboard. By the way, this boat is currently under construction and expected to make her first cruise in March 2018.
The next seven days will be spent diving in the Gardens of the Queen located 60 miles off the coast. During the week, biologists and Cuban specialists will host discussions and presentations on the marine environment, conservation and the importance of this magnificent ecosystem.
