Are you a PADI certified diver but its been awhile since you’ve been underwater? This course provides you the opportunity to review all of the critical in-water skills with an instructor or divemaster. ReActivate requires two to four hours of time depending on the individual needs.  daytime, evening, or weekends.

The ReActivate program consists of two parts – a Knowledge Review and a Confined Water Skills Review.  The Knowledge Review segment covers the basic safety information divers learn during their entry-level training. Divers use the ReActivate on-line study program to independently test their knowledge. The Confined Water Skills Review allows participants to practice basic scuba skills. With guidance from a PADI Member, divers update and fine-tune their diving ability. To participate in a ReActivate program an individual must have proof of diver certification.

Upon completion you will be issued a certification card (certification of your choice) with a current picture and ReActivation documented.

Enrole for the on-line ReActivate e-Learning program which requires registration for completion of classroom work (additional $59.95).

  1. I’ve been given the opportunity to go to Indonesia for two weeks- Bali and Suluwesi In April 12-26. It has been 5 years since I was certified and need to take a refresher course before I go. What do I need to do, how do I schedule a refresher class?
    Thank you Dorene Foster

      Hi Dorene,
What a wonderful opportunity! I have wanted to go to Suluwesi for a long time.
Best way to get refreshed is to sign up for the Reactivate on-line. There is a link on the page you posted you question. Then call us and schedule some pool time to refresh on the actual skills with an instructor. If you have more questions, you can reach me at 817-605-8833.
Thanks for your interest. Judy Kay

  2. Hello,

I need to get recertified for open water and advanced open water. Can you please tell me the cost for both? Also, do I need to bring my certification ID cards in, or is there a record of them in PADI’s system? Goiing to have to hunt to find those things, lol.

I am heading to Australia in November and really want to take advantage of the great diving while I’m there.

    Thanks!

      Hi Scott,

You are going to have a great time in Australia. I dove there a number of years ago and I have many fond memories.

One Reactivate class will refresh you for both certifications. First you will need to go to http://apps.padi.com/scuba-diving/shopping-cart/Order/ProductView/04b21f1d-9110-4f17-ba7d-356d90405c20
and register for the on-line portion of the review. At the end of this review, your will be able to print out a completion certificate. You will need to bring this certificate to the instructor who completes the ‘wet’ portion of your review. You will have two options for that. First, you can schedule pool time with a local dive shop such as Scuba Shop Keller (817-201-6783) that has a pool on-site. If you chose this option, I suggest requesting Sandi Zoch as your instructor. Second, you can arrange with me to complete your ‘wet’ portion in a back yard pool.

Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions. My cell phone number is 817-343-5988.
If I don’t talk to you before your trip, have a GREAT TIME!
