PADI eLearning

There are several PADI programs which have eLearning available. This eLearning replaces classroom time. It does not replace pool training or open water dives. To participate in these eLearning programs you need to enroll with PADI online and enroll with We B Divin’ for the completion of training. Sometimes there are also student supplies you need to acquire at We B Divin’ when you enroll.PADI eLearning Logo

Below are specifics on each course that has an eLearning option.

  • Scuba-Tune-Up: The program may be completed independently or in conjunction with time in the pool with an instructor to review the 20 basic scuba skills. Online you will review dive physicis, physiology and dive tables or dive computers. In the pool you will review gear set up and break down, weighting, buoyancy, mask replacement and clearing, regulator recovery and clearing as well as a variety of others.
  • Open Water: Enroll in the eLearning, complete the five knowledge modules and quizzes on-line (10-20 hours) then print out the completion certificate when done. Bring the certificate with you when you enroll with We B Divin’ and schedule a class to complete your five pool sessions (about 16 hours). After successfully completing these steps you will need to complete your four open water dives either with We B Divin’ locally, with We B Divin’ Cozumel in Cozumel or as a referral with a PADI Instructor at some other location.
  • Advanced Open Water: Enroll in the eLearning, complete the nine knowledge modules on-line (about 10 hours) and print out the completion certificate when done. Bring the certificate with you when you enroll with We B Divin’ and schedule completion of the five open water dives. Deep and navigation dives are required. The other three dives can be selected based on student preference.
  • Rescue: Enroll in the eLearning, complete the knowledge modules and quizzes on line then print out the completion certificate. Bring the certificate with you when you enroll with We B Divin’ to complete your pool session and open water scenarios.
  • Digital Underwater Photography: Enroll in the eLearning , complete the knowledge modules then print out the completion certificate. It is best if you have your own camera for this course and bring it with you as well as the instruction manual to class.
  • Enriched Air Nitrox: Enroll in the eLearning, complete the modules and quizzes on-line then print out the completion certificate. Bring the certificate with you when you enroll with We B Divin’ to complete your training. During classroom at We B Divin’ you will practice testing your own EAN tanks and logging the results on diver logs. Then you will practice planning a day of diving with different gas mixes. It is best if you have a nitrox capable dive computer and bring the directions with you to class.
  • Divemaster: Enroll in the eLearning, complete the nine knowledge modules and quizzes on-line then print out the completion certificate. Bring the certificate with you when you enroll with We B Divin’ to complete your training. With We B Divin’ you will complete pool sessions to refine the 20 basic skills to demonstration quality, begin working with students learning mentoring and control techniques, assisting instructors with classes to learn organization and record keeping techniques. You will also prepare for and take the seven exams.
  • Dive Theory: This eLearning program will assist you with preparing for the five theory exams. It is useful for both the Divemaster program and the Instructor Development Course.
  • Instructor Development Course: Enroll in the eLearning, complete the nine interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading.  Complete the short quizzes to progress, review and correct anything you might happen to miss.  Print the completion certificate when you enroll with We B Divin’ to complete remaining classroom, pool, exams, presentations and open water sessions.  After successfully completing your IDC you will be eligible to enroll in an Instructor Examination proctored by PADI.
